Corsair is launching a new monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 32-inch QHD resolution. The display supports NVIDIA G-SYNC, which means it will be able to provide smooth gameplay without screen tearing or stuttering.
The corsair xeneon monitor is a new gaming monitor from Corsair that has an up to 165Hz refresh rate and a QHD resolution.
Following the April Fools teaser that introduced the Corsair B11-ND computer monitor in 2016, with its main feature being front facing RGB on the screen’s side bezels, the gaming gear manufacturing firm has finally developed and constructed a gaming monitor after 5 years.
It’s known as the Xeneon 32QHD165 display from Corsair, and it costs $799.99 in the United States.
The massive display has a 32-inch diagonal curved screen for a very immersive viewing experience.
Thanks to all of its features, Corsair’s maiden effort at creating a computer display is nothing short of fantastic.
The monitor has a pixel panel with a resolution of 2560 pixels by 1440 pixels, giving it a 1440p screen resolution. It uses Quantum Dot technology to produce picture data.
The panel itself is an IPS panel with an LED backlight that provides DCI-P3 coverage of 98 percent and Adobe RGB and sRGB color space coverage of 100 percent.
This monitor is ideally suited for content producers as well as the target gaming audience due to its high degree of color accuracy.
The display features a 165Hz refresh rate, a 1 ms MPRT response time, and a sub-3 ms GtG reaction time, according to Corsair.
There’s also complete AMD FreeSync Premium and NVidia G-Sync compatibility, as well as VESA Display HDR 400 certification.
With the Elgato adapter to attach it to monitor extender arms as well as VESA mounting compatibility, the monitor is flexible in terms of installation methods. A VESA 100 x 100 mount is also included.
According to Corsair, the display’s brightness can reach 440 nits while using HDR mode, but dips to 400 nits when viewing SDR material.
The monitor has a decent number of connections, including one Display Port 1.4, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a USB Type-C with Display Port Alt Mode. The port’s USB Type-C Alt Mode allows it to transmit data and video across various interfaces.
The USB Type-C port’s Display Port Alt Mode allows it to transmit video via the Display Port interface. Power supply is also available through the USB Type C connection, which is rated at up to 15 Watts. There are two USB Type A connections and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for output.
Corsair has incorporated this monitor with their iCUE software for customers that have invested in the Corsair ecosystem, allowing RGB synchronization across other iCUE peripherals as well as profile control, among other things.
The monitor comes with a highly unusual bottom base stand that has a loop configuration with two backwards facing legs for stability.
The base has the disadvantage of taking up too much desk space when compared to comparable 32 inch monitors, however the base and stand pilar are constructed of quality materials.
The components are mainly metal with a smooth surface, making the stand robust with minimal wobbling and allowing for excellent height, tilt, and swivel adjustment.
Because it is composed of plastic, the top portion, which contains the monitor, did not get the same luxury makeover.
